A stable foundation for the future
Companies can periodically encounter difficulties. A few crucial wrong decisions, unexpected market shifts, or organizational disruptions can cause problems for an otherwise healthy company. Transparency and strong relationships are foundational to our successful collaborations.
We always work with great respect for the entrepreneur and the company's history. However, we prioritize the company's best interests, building a stable foundation based on the right core and competencies. This may sometimes require making difficult and sensitive decisions, but these are necessary for the company's future development.
Investment criteria
We always proceed from our investment philosophy when we buy companies. And our firm opinion is that shared values and a good personal chemistry are a prerequisite for being able to run a good company. However, each business area within Hammarviken's group has its own investment criteria. These criteria, together with the philosophy, are decisive for whether an investment is interesting.
Location
For close collaboration, we prefer that your main operations are within a three-hour drive from Gothenburg.
Documentation
Well-documented records showing profit in previous years. Without this, it is difficult for us to assess growth potential.
Turnover
We enter small and medium-sized companies, within ethically defensible industries, with a net turnover of at least 100 million SEK.
Development potential
We want to see growth or profitability potential based on documentation, expertise, and product/service.
Organization
We value a cohesive team, which is essential for successfully executing a turnaround in a company.
Majority ownership
We intend to be majority owners with at least 51% ownership. This is due to the risk we take but also to have the mandate to make important decisions.
With our own capital, proactive efforts, and modern influences, we restore companies to their rightful value.
