The code of conduct is an additional step in our sustainability efforts
{We have, since the beginning, almost 20 years ago, had a fantastic development and grown with both more companies in the portfolio and new employees. Our keywords, openness, honesty and respect, have always been our guiding star and as we grow, the need to more clearly express and communicate our values and ways of working also increases.}
As part of this work, we have applied, and now been approved, to become part of UN Global Compacts, operated by the UN. UN Global Compacts is Sweden's largest sustainability network where members gain access to training, practical tools, and a broad network that helps companies accelerate sustainability efforts. Through their principles, which include areas such as human rights, labor rights, environment, and anti-corruption, they assist companies in creating the right conditions for the implementation of the global goals and Agenda 2030.
In connection with our membership in UN Global Compacts, we have established a code of conduct to serve as a tool to facilitate our workday and also create clarity on how we should act in various situations. Our goal is for the code of conduct to provide us with security and guidance to be able to uphold our values.
- At Hammarviken, we do not just build companies. We also build relationships based on transparency, honesty, and respect. A code of conduct emphasizes the approach that applies within Hammarviken and in our dealings with the outside world and society in general. As the parent company in the group, we are clear that sustainability work is important. Says Sofia Regestad, CEO of Hammarviken.
The code of conduct is part of a larger sustainability initiative that we have begun, where the first steps this spring have been to develop a sustainability vision based on Agenda 2030 as well as a variety of policies and procedures. This document is for everyone working within Hammarviken and clarifies how to behave towards colleagues, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
