Hällingsjö Hus has a long and well-established history dating back to the 1990s. Over the years, the company has played a part in the development of the industry and completed a large number of projects, ranging from residential housing developments to private villas. Since 2022, however, the business has been significantly affected by market conditions and the decline in residential construction. Despite various adjustments and restructuring efforts, the situation has gradually become increasingly challenging.

The company has now reached a point where there are no new projects entering the business. Against this background, Hammarviken has decided to discontinue the operational activities of its subsidiary Hällingsjö Hus.

"It is a sad decision, as Hällingsjö Hus has been part of the Hammarviken group since 2016. Together with the employees at Hällingsjö Hus, we have implemented several operational adjustments over the years. Despite these efforts, market conditions have made it unsustainable to continue operations,” says Sofia Regestad, CEO of Hammarviken.

All employees have been given notice, and negotiations were carried out on Thursday, February 5.

“Our focus now is to manage the discontinuation process in as responsible and smooth a manner as possible. We are maintaining close dialogue with union representatives and affected employees, and we are working to ensure the process is handled with clarity, respect, and care,” says Rickard Eriksson, Acting CEO of Hällingsjö Hus.

Ongoing projects and commitments will be completed according to plan, in close dialogue with customers and partners. Hällingsjö Hus will remain as a legal entity in order to manage warranties and other post-completion commitments.

Hammarviken continues to have production capacity at the factory in Hällingsjö and is currently exploring opportunities for external parties to establish operations there.
