Hammarviken Arena is now completed
It is safe to say that there is a colorful arena at ÖIS-yard and now that the weather has finally given in, even the ball boards have been repainted. Hammarviken, which has been a partner to Örgryte IS for many years, made an agreement with the club last autumn regarding the naming rights for the artificial turf pitch. The signs were put up already at the beginning of November and since November 8th, the artificial turf pitch is now called Hammarviken Arena.
- We are very proud that Hammarviken has wanted to name our large artificial turf pitch, where all our youth teams - as well as the A-team - train and play matches. The agreement is an important part of our work to minimize the potential deficit we informed about earlier this autumn, commented ÖIS Football Board Chairman Mattias Asserståhl in November 2013.
- Hammarviken has increased its financial commitment to ÖIS in recent years, so when the question of naming the artificial turf pitch came up, it felt like a good thing. Furthermore, I was involved in the construction of the pitch during my time as chairman of the club, so I have a little extra feeling for that facility. I hope that ÖIS and Hammarviken can work together to develop Hammarviken Arena so that it is representative of both ÖIS and the company, said Mats Rydhede, owner of Hammarviken, about the expanded sponsorship agreement.
