Daniel Svanberg appointed new CEO of Emballagegruppen and NMH Packaging
Emballagegruppen has appointed Daniel Svanberg as the new CEO of both Emballagegruppen and NMH Packaging. Daniel will assume the role on May 13, 2026, succeeding Ove Johansson, former CEO of Emballagegruppen, and Emil Carlsson, former CEO of NMH Packaging, both of whom will move on to new roles within the company.
Emballagegruppen today announced that Daniel Svanberg has been appointed as the new CEO of the group. Daniel most recently served as Purchasing Manager at aPak and brings extensive experience from the packaging industry, with previous roles at companies such as Papyrus Supplies and Tingstad.
Emballagegruppen is currently in a phase of development where several businesses are being brought together into a shared structure, with the goal of strengthening the overall offering and creating greater collaboration across the group.
"Emballagegruppen is in an exciting phase of development, and Daniel has both the experience and the qualities required to help take us further in that journey,” says Ove Johansson, former CEO of Emballagegruppen.
Daniel has many years of experience within purchasing, supply chain, and organizational development, and has worked in both entrepreneurial family-owned businesses and larger international companies. That combination is considered highly valuable for Emballagegruppen’s continued development.

In connection with the change, Ove Johansson will step down from his role as CEO of Emballagegruppen and instead continue working within the company with a focus on product and market-related matters. At the same time, Emil Carlsson will leave his role as CEO of NMH Packaging and will moving forward focus on sales and purchasing in close collaboration with the group’s suppliers.
Daniel will officially assume the role on May 13, 2026.
